Abstract
Resumen: El presente artículo discute hechos importantes de la psicología cubana que son inseparables del desarrollo de la realidad política, social e institucional del país en las décadas de los años setenta, ochenta y noventa del siglo XX. Se analiza el desarrollo de la psicología en Cuba, no como suma fría de hechos, sino a través de interpretaciones que se sustentan en amplias referencias. En el curso del análisis histórico que aquí se presenta, se analiza el desarrollo progresivo de la psicología cubana en la psicología latinoamericana, en un proceso donde se destacan los propios procesos institucionales de la psicología cubana y de la Sociedad Interamericana de psicología. Finalmente el artículo discute la evolución de una de las líneas más productivas de la psicología cubana en esa década, profundizando aspectos teóricos, metodológicos y epistemológicos de ese camino.

Sumary: The paper discusses relevant facts about the history of Cuban psychology which are presented as inseparable from the social, political and institutional realities of the Cuban society during the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. The history of Cuban psychology is presented not as a cold sum of facts, but based on interpretations on a wide number of consulting references. Throughout this historical analysis are discussed the progressive integration of Cuban psychology with some of the relevant movements of Latin-American psychology in the mentioned above decades, in such a process in which is given a particular attention to the institutional movements in Cuban psychology as well as in the Interamerican Society of Psychology , which closely interrelated since the Interamerican Congress hold in Caracas in 1985. Finally the paper discussed in depth one of the more productive lines of Cuban psychology that time, high lightened its theoretical , epistemological and methodological unfolds.
