Abstract

En el presente trabajo se revisan brevemente aspectos relacionados con la alimentación, enfocándonos en la conducta de consumo visto desde el punto de vista multidisciplinario. Debido a su complejidad, es necesario realizar investigación al respecto con la finalidad de identificar, caracterizar o evaluarla para su estudio y comprensión. La evidencia científica demuestra que se han realizado diferentes investigaciones, sin poder lograr un acuerdo para caracterizarla. En este sentido, la evidencia científica ha dado diferentes explicaciones sobre las causas por las cuales las personas emiten diferentes conductas ante la presencia de un alimento. Se ha mencionado que los principales motivos para modificar la conducta de consumo, han sido por salud, por preferir algún alimento o por la insatisfacción de la imagen corporal. Lo anterior mencionado, ha sido consistente en los últimos años y se ha visto desde diferentes etapas de la vida. Anteriormente se consideraba que el tener un motivo para modificar la conducta de consumo lo hacían principalmente las mujeres. Sin embargo, en la actualidad, afecta a las personas de todas las edades. Por lo anterior mencionado, es necesario explicar y tratar de entender cuál es el papel que juega la motivación ante la conducta de consumo. Esto nos permitirá a explicar y comprender el fenómeno de alimentación desde diferentes perspectivas. Al hacerlo, tendremos un panorama que nos ayude a explicar, el porqué del comportamiento de las personas ante los diferentes factores que intervienen a la hora de consumir un alimento
